Greetings Challengers. Here we are and it’s October. How the summer raced by this year. Well, we can look back or we can look forward toward the coming holidays if we choose. On the other hand, what’s wrong with just savoring today?  Sometimes its good to be reminded that we can stop and smell the roses and enjoy the moment, wherever we happen to be.

In this month’s feature story, The Lone Spanger writes Goodbye Culture, Hello New Austin.  Check out that article, and see what else we’ve got in this great edition of the Challenger below.  Your contributions are important to our work and are helping make a real difference in the lives of many here on the streets of Austin, Texas. We’re grateful for your support!
